Racheldcooper’s Weblog
A Weblog about me and my crazy antics and exploits

Hey guys. I have created a website here out of desperation and I am hoping that someone will click on it and give me a hand. I would greatly appreciate any help that my lovely friends could give to me!

Please consider clicking!

Hi bloggers. Here I am again, blogging from Vancouver, BC, Canada. Home of Stargate! My friend Janine and I have been Vancouver VIPs this entire week and it is the most awesome thing in the world. We get unlimited free food and FREE WINE!!!!!!! The up close and personal thing with the actors is VERY cool! All of them have been so nice and supportive and stuff.

Janine and I did the funniest photo op with Jason Momoa (Ronon) tonight. We walk in and I go right up to Jason and say “Let’s do something funny.” So Jason goes “Okay, what do you want to do.” I said “You’re the actor, think of something.” He told me “You’re a really funny person, think of something that you like.”  So Janine twists in beside Jason and contorts her body as much as she can, I bend over in front of Jason just trying to be silly and Jason goes “Oh okay, are we doing Twister?” So Jason leans over me and he like grabs my wrist. Then after that we go to leave and Jason puts his arms around us and says “Let’s do a second one with you guys holding me up.” Well, since Jason is the actor and twice as big as anyone else in the room, no one argued with him. So we essentially got a two for one deal.

Sorry that’s all for now but I am getting ready to head down for the chocolate party. I’ll post more (including pictures) in the coming days.

Peace and love to all in blogland!
Rachel 🙂

I really need some money. I am hoping that I can find a lender to lend me something.  That’s all I have to say about that.

I am getting down to crunch time on my planning for my Vancouver trip. I have finally made a decision about telling my parents. I AM NOT GOING TO DO IT! It’s really none of their business anyway. If they knew they’d make me cancel my plans, work to earn back the money they’d make me lose and then give it all to them. Pathetic I know but they’re selfish like that. I’m going to Vancouver and there isn’t a damn thing they can do about it. I am gonna start washing clothes and getting my house in order this weekend. Then I’m gonna get my DVDs together and all of my stuff before I start packing next week. Things are gonna be hectic, but I’ll get through.

Finally, REVENGE! It’s really gonna be sweet. I plan on hanging these two bitches at work. They are trying to screw me over against the wishes of the corporate supervisor and the client of the case I’m on, and I am going to call the corporate office tomorrow and make sure she knows about it. I hope to get them both fired. Especially the bitch that started this whole thing then I can take her hours and I’ll be perfectly fine! Wish me luck!

Okay, I am gonna start with the bad and get it out of the way. I am so mad right now that I could resort to hitting a certain witch that works on the case that I am on. She is so immature that she is trying to get me push me out of the case just because I have a positive relationship with my client. She’s even got the supervisor playing into it. What I am going to do is go to the main office and go over her head. That good for nothing that is starting this is NOT my boss and I am frankly very sick of her. I have found myself wishing that I could just slap her in the face and leave my handprint on her like a scarlet letter so to speak.

Well, enough of that. Now for the good stuff!

I won the VIP tickets that I bid on over on eBay. My friend and I are going to have UNRESTRICTED backstage access meaning that we can chitchat with the actors whenever we see fit to! Since I plan to have the computer with me, you guys can count on LOTS of blogging action.

Also we are going to be part of a two guest lunch on Sunday with Michael Shanks and Lexa Doig. That is gonna totally rock the house! I am really excited about it. Like I said, stay tuned to this space for all of my info on this as it develops!

The preparations are coming along slowly. I have so much to do and just over 2 weeks to do it all in. I am still debating whether I should tell my parents about my travel plans or not. My sister said that it would let me know whether or not the sudden change of attitude is sincere or not. I guess this is one that I’m going to have to figure out for myself.

I promise to take as many pictures as I am allowed to and post all of the ones that I am allowed to. You guys who follow this blog here have a LOT to look forward to.

How cool is this! I have officially figured out how to put pictures in my blog. You guys are really gonna be in for a treat when I go to Vancouver now! I am really getting excited about the convention. I have put in a bid on two tickets for the special lunch with Michael Shanks and Lexa Doig on the Sunday at eBay. I am currently winning but with nine days to go the question is will it stay that way? Let’s hope so. Stay tuned and I’ll keep you posted!

As I said, the excitement for the upcoming Vancouver convention is really growing the closer it gets. On Monday it will be 5 weeks and counting! There has been a new guest announcement! Rainbow Sun Francks has been added to the celebrity guest list. I am so stoked about this because I have always wanted to meet him. From what I have heard from friends the only thing is that I am going to have to get him to NOT write huge in my fanfiction book because I am rapidly running out of space in there. In fact, I may have to have a handwritten copy of Triumphant Return and take that to be autographed as well in case I run out of space in my original fanfiction notebook.

Now on to the fingerless gloves. I am knitting a pair of fingerless gloves that I am going to personalize with the phrase GATE GIRL on the fingers. I have completed the first one and it fits perfectly.

I am also excited about the fact that I bought myself a PDA this evening that has wireless internet access so that when I am in the airport in Seattle waiting on Janine to arrive I can get on the internet at the airport with my PDA without having to run down the battery on my laptop. It will also help me with the home based business I am starting but that’s for another blog.

Today’s blog is dedicated to all of the awesome people who have left such wonderful positive comments for me!

Hi everyone. This is my first blog entry here on wordpress.com. I’m liable to talk about anything, everything, and nothing here so make sure you check back here every day to see what crazy shenanigans I’m up to that day.

First of all, let me start off by telling ya’ll a little bit about myself. My name is Rachel Cooper and I am a LPN (licensed practical nurse, for those of you who don’t do abbreviations) and I reside in Medina, TN in the great old US of A. I have three cats, a 4 year old grey and white tabby named Beans Kitty, a 3 year old Callico named Callie Marie, and a 7 month old black and white short hair named Oreo Cookie, and two dogs, a 2 year old Chihuahua named Freya Anise (after the Tok’ra from Stargate SG-1) and a 1 year old Chorkie (Chihuahua/Yorkie hybrid) named Jinto Wallace (after the Athosian boy in the pilot episode of Stargate Atlantis). I also have a black cat named Gibson and a Pinto paint Quarterhorse named Cheyenne Sunshine (who may possibly be expecting) that stay at my parents house. I have been told many a time that I live in my own zoo. Ha ha ha. My hobbies are knitting, crocheting, writing, surfing the internet, blogging, spending time with my babies, reading and watching Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis and M*A*S*H on television (my all time favorite shows). On the reality front, my favorite show that I follow is Big Brother!

I am really looking forward to my upcoming vacation to Vancouver, Canada! I am going for a Stargate convention and my friend Janine from England is flying over to join me along with her mom! I am excited because one of the things that we get to do is to go and have dinner at Fuel, a fancy restaurant in Vancouver, with Joseph Mallozzi (the guy who inspired me to start my own wordpress blog) and Martin Gero, two of the writers from Stargate. There are so many people going we are probably gonna take up the whole entire place. One thing is for sure is that we are definitely going to have a table because I have already phoned the restaurant and booked our reservation! I also plan to go skydiving while I’m there because it’s something that I’ve always wanted to do. The trip is in 5 weeks from Monday and I’ll blog all of my day to day preparations so stay tuned to this space for the latest.

Keeping on the Vancouver front for a moment… have you ever felt like you have more things to do than time to do them in? Well, that’s kinda what I’m dealing with right now. I have to wash clothes, pick out what I want to wear, finish the sweater I’m knitting, finish my GATE GIRL fingerless gloves, knit and sew on the chevron embellishments for my Stargate socks and finish my hood thing and I only have five weeks. PANIC MODE……AGAIN!!!!!!!

I say again because it seems like I always do this before I go to a con. Heck, when I went to Shore Leave in Baltimore, MD last summer I was knitting in line for photo ops and I also took my knitting and spread it out all over the floor in the hotel lobby putting it together. Granted it did get me some rather interesting looks (Colin Cunningham actually did a doubletake when he saw me sitting there one morning) and earned me several requests from people who thought what I was doing (piecing together a Scottish flag afghan that I presented to the wonderfully talented Paul McGillion) was terribly interesting and wanted to take my picture, but hey, I did make a totally awesome new friend in the process in the form of a poor unfortunate soul named Mare who offered me a hand with my sewing embellishments on 3 afghans on that fateful Sunday morning (no pun intended) just because we had started talking and she decided to help me out. Little did the dear woman know what she was getting herself into by getting tangled up with the crazy likes of me.

I am really toying with the decision of whether or not I should be open with my parents about the fact that I have plans to go to Vancouver. They seem to be very accomodating and it makes me really nervous because I have seen this exact same thing before. My grandmother seems to think that since they drove my brother away with their controlling behavior, that they are reaching out to me and that I should accept it but I’m not sure how to handle this. I would love to think that I could tell them that I have plans to go out of town that are completely paid for and ask them to keep Freya and Jinto for me but I’m extremely gunshy simply because of the fact that every single time they have done this before, I have fallen for it and every single time, it has lead to me being emotionally scarred by them in some way and I just cannot let them hurt me again. So maybe if any of the awesome people out there in blogland who happen to be reading this have any ideas of what I should do, please feel free to leave a comment and give me your opinion. Right now I can use all the help I can get.

This first blog is dedicated to the totally awesome Joe Mallozzi because it’s his wordpress blog that inspired me to do one of my own.
